Jerky Salad I - Ginger Sesame Teriyaki Salad

Jerky Salad I - Ginger Sesame Teriyaki Salad

We used this recipe containing Dr. D's Savory Teriyaki Chicken Jerky to make a deliciously nutritious salad. Get yourself a bag or two of Savory Teriyaki Chicken Jerky so you can make this delicacy for you family and friends.

Ginger Sesame Salad Dressing

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (olive oil is best)
  • 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced (can substitute ½ tsp garlic powder)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated (1/4 tsp powdered)
  • 1 tsp Thai Garlic Sauce
  • 2 tbsp water

Whisk or shake the ingredients together. This can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can use it on salads, or as a marinade, and in stir fry dishes.

For the salad, we combined:

  • 1 small head of chopped baby Bok choy
  • 1/3 stalk of romaine lettuce
  • 1 small, cooked beet, julienned
  • 2 baby carrots, julienned
  • 6 oz Dr. D’s Savory Chicken Jerky, sliced

You may want to add a garnish or other ingredients to your salad. We topped our salad with the following:

  • chopped walnuts (use your favorite)
  • scallions, thinly sliced
  • sesame seeds (toasted adds more flavor) (we used black sesame seeds)
